About Chris

Originally from Singapore, Chris de Silva currently lives in Los Angeles, California. He is one of the newest composers and recording artists at GIA Publications, Inc. His debut recording, one love | one song was released in February 2007 at the East Coast Religious Education Conference in Washington, DC.

Chris offers his gift of music to many at the annual Los Angeles Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, California, where he has played yearly at liturgies, workshops, concerts and prayer services. Chris also shares his music at National Association of Pastoral Musician Conventions, Diocesan Conferences and Parish Retreats around the US, Canada and Asia.

Presently, the Director of Music Ministry at St. Brendan Catholic Church and School, Chris works with adults, youth and children in a multicultural, multilingual parish setting, which has inspired much of his compositions.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music where he studied Music Composition with an emphasis in Film Scoring.
